Mike Glennon is our quarterback.
Yeah … Probably not the words you wanted to hear after the first day of free agency, but it’s the reality we’ve been given. Glennon looks to be a “stop-gap” that will bridge us to the quarterback of the future, or at least, that’s the hope.
Ryan Pace also aimed to bolster the secondary by signing Quintin Demps, a nine-year veteran safety who is coming off a season in which he finished second in the NFL with six interceptions. Despite his age (31 years old), Demps appears to be a solid addition that will be Chicago’s secondary’s much-needed turnover specialist.
In this episode, we shared our initial thoughts on both signings including:
- Each player’s strengths and weaknesses
- Our thoughts on how each player fits next season
- What they bring to the table (both on and off the field)
- What the reasonable expectations are for them in Chicago
And much more including what we like the most about Glennon and Demps, what worries we may have about them, and our grades for each signing.
We also gave some quick thoughts on Dion Sims, a tight end out of Miami as the news broke he was nearing a deal with Chicago.
We hope you enjoy this episode.
